Fourteen adults and two children were displaced following a multialarm fire in Bridgeport Tuesday, fire officials say.
Firefighters responded to the intersection of Boston Avenue and East Main Street around 12:45 p.m. for a two-alarm fire.

City officials say the fire happened at a 2 1/2-story home in the 1600 block of East Main Street.
They add that fire which has been knocked down was upgraded to a three-alarm and later four-alarm due to staff replacement.
Officials say one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
