A DoorDash food delivery driver was arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a woman in Monmouth County.

According to New Jersey State Police, officers responded to a home on West Main Street in Farmingdale on April 14 at 4:13 p.m. for a report of a sexual assault that had just occurred.

"Based on a preliminary investigation, a female victim was assaulted by a DoorDash food delivery driver, who then left the residence, " state police said in a press release.

The suspect was later identified as 36-yeara-old Luis Teran‑Carrillo, of Howell. Following an investigation and surveillance, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Criminal Investigation Office located Teran-Carillo at the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell.

Teran-Carillo was charged with sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. He was transported to Monmouth County Jail, pending a future court hearing.
