UR Community Cares is inviting the public to participate in the upcoming free Waterbury Eye Health Fair on April 24.

Executive director of UR Community Cares, Michelle Puzzo, said the event will include vendors from Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport and allow participants to connect with vision care resources.

"We have different vendors, from transportation to health vendors to hard-of-hearing vendors, deaf, vision-related, lots of vision-related resources," she said. "We're meeting every day people that are from the National Federation of the Blind, and we know that the challenges are out there, and we're trying to match those challenges with resources and get them connected."

The fair will take place at the Waterbury Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free lunch is offered for those who register in advance.
