A 50-year-old Ramapo man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at a Hillcrest barber shop on Friday night.
Officers responding to Veloz Barbershop on North Main Street found a 59-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He was taken to Westchester Medical Center in stable condition.
Stanley Etienne was taken into police custody after he was found a short time later by a Rockland County Sheriff's Office patrol unit.

Authorities say the incident appears to be an isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public.
Etienne is charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and criminal use of a firearm.
He is currently in Rockland County Jail.
